Police arrest men involved in cellphone shop robbery

Unidentified persons robbed a mobile phone shop in Ras el Ain, Tyre on 11/09/2012 with the value of stolen goods estimated at $30,000 US.

Following investigations, and upon the request of the concerned judiciary, Sidon’s judicial police department identified one of the culprits and managed to arrest him.

During interrogations with the 25-year-old arrestee, he confessed of having robbed the above-mentioned shop in addition to other thefts he conducted in Tyre in collaboration with two others.

Consequent confessions then uncovered that the three had hidden the stolen items in the Northern Burj camp at the house of a 24-year-old man who was later also arrested. The men identified as Palestinian nationals, robbed other mobile phone shops and agricultural rooms.

Several mobile phones and 4 laptops were seized and the detainees were brought before the concerned judicial authority.
