Aoun: We hold the LF, Kataeb accountable for hindering our electoral reforms plans

"We were able to liberate 21 Christian seats through the 1960's law amended at Doha".

With that statement MP Michel Aoun opened up his weekly public discourse.

“We hold the Lebanese Forces and the Kataeb party accountable for hindering our electoral reforms plans”, Aoun stressed, during a press conference he held following the weekly meeting of the Change and Reform Bloc.

Commenting on the oil issue, Aoun hoped that the government will complete the gas and oil file soon, noting that assigning oil profits within the Lebanese economy is "essential and the government "must expedite the process".

When questioned on the Nabi Sheet issue, Aoun said that the Resistance has an arsenal that can reach beyond Haifa as well as missiles distributed across Lebanon. "No one should be surprised by that," he added. However he expressed hope that Lebanon will reach a stage where the LAF can take charge of security nationwide.

Regarding the Al-Arabiya leaks pertaining to newly found documents framing Hezbollah as the culprits of the assassination of late MP Gebran Toueni, Aoun said that the final words and judgments should be left up to the judicial council.
