Summer has gone by, energy producing ships have not yet arrived

The summer season has gone by, the autumn will soon end, and the ships expected to produce energy have not yet arrived.                             

According to sources, when the agreement was reached between the Lebanese and the Turkish authorities, the contract was signed last July.                 

According to the contract, the ships are expected to arrive four months after the Turkish authorities receive the payment of the first installment from the Lebanese government, which has not yet approved to proceed with it. Consequently, the ships will not be expected to arrive within a short period.                             

Meanwhile, preparations are underway on the ground to equip the power plants in Zouk and Zahrani and the ports in the regions, in order to receive the ships which will dock near them.                         

Accordingly, the ground will soon be ready to receive the ships, and in case the payment takes place quickly, the ships will be able to start working early December.
