Syrian child dies after fire erupts in refugee camp southern Turkey

A Syrian child was killed, after being affected by smoke inhalation, when a fire broke out on Friday in a tent housing Syrian refugees in Turkish southern province of Hatay, a local newspaper reported.

The 5-year-old Syrian child was taken to Yayladagi Health Center where he subsequently died despite medical efforts

The fire broke out in Yayladagi town of Hatay and firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

An investigation into the fire has been launched.
