Warrants issued against Sheikh Assir's son, Omar

The investigative Judge at the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr issued on Wednesday investigative warrants against Sheikh Ahmad Assir’s son, 15 year old Omar, for illegally seizing ISF weaponry.

Judge Saqr also issued various judicial warrants in hopes of unraveling other perpetrators of the crime which occurred on days earlier.

On Sunday the 11th of November, the son of Sheikh Assir was stopped on one of the checkpoints in Sidon for driving without proper documentation or a license.

Minutes later men arrived to the scene seizing Omar from the grips of the Security checkpoint by force of arms.

Officers at the checkpoint have been penalized as per the Minister of Defense Marwan Chanrbel for not defending their post "till death".

The incident was followed by sparks of outrage in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.
