REPORT: Wehbe sold water as 'cancer medication'

The scandal of counterfeit medications recently imported to Lebanon caused uproar and its repercussions continue to surge day after day.

One of the people involved in this case, Fouad Wehbe, turned out to have had many precedents, but had escaped punishment.

Wehbe was selling needles filled with water as 'cancer medication'. While the owners of the hospitals which bought these needles were punished at the time, Wehbe and the accomplice employee were protected by a political party.

Accordingly, MP Ismail Soukkariyah told LBCI that Wehbe's file must be reopened, stressing that the case of counterfeit medications will definitely be resolved.
