Kahwaji: Military institution committed to national principles

Army Commander Jean Kahwaji stressed on Monday the military institution’s commitment to well-known national principles, adding that the army would confront any internal conflict that would trespass democratic bounds.

In today's order on the occasion of the 69th Independence Day, Kahwaji said that "the army will protect the right of every Lebanese to have "a decent life under the rule of law and will be against any side which does not respect coexistence and seeks any division.”

He added that the army would always defend the nation, freedom, justice and equality.
