Jordan’s King: UN vote upgrading Palestine’s’ status is a huge step

Jordan’s King Abddullah II received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday and considered that Palestine’s attainment of the non-member observer state status was "a huge step" towards the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state.

A statement issued by the Jordanian Royal Court stressed that King Abdullah congratulated President Abbas and the Palestinian people for this great achievement.

The King considered that this step would grant the Palestinian people their legitimate rights, stressing the necessity to build on this decision and invest it to highlight the justice of the Palestinian cause.
