Rai calls for ending cycle of battles in Tripoli

The suffering of Tripoli has turned inacceptable, Maronite patriarch Bshara Rai said on Sunday.                

The patriarch, in his Sunday sermon at the Lady's Chapel in Bkerke expressed deep sorrow amid solemn worries lest that the northern town gets abandoned by its people. Rai noted that "senior government and state officials must assume full responsibility in securing stability and civil peace and preached the letter and spirit of mercy.”
