Three skiers rescued in Tarshish

Civil defense teams rescued on Sunday three people, identified as Mazen Zeineddine, Daniel Zaytouni and Faisal al-Moughrabi, who got lost while skiing in the area between Tarshish and Kafarselwan.

In the details, 8 young men wanted to take photos in the snow-covered nature. They went to the Kansiya Mountain in the outskirts of Kfarselwan, Tarshish and Falougha when one of them slipped in al-Barik Valley. When two of his friends tried to help him, they fell.

The rest of the guys called for help and teams from the Civil Defense and the Red Cross rushed to the scene and tried to reach the young men in difficult conditions due to snow and dirt. The teams resorted to bulldozers to open roads and pave the way for SUVs.

Some of the rescuers used skis while some of them went on foot and they managed to lift the three young men a few hours later.
