Father Skaff attacked in Tripoli

Greek-Melkite metropolitan of Tripoli, Monseigneur Georges Bakouni, arrived in Tripoli’s archbishopric on Sunday to follow up on the attack on father Adullah Skaff.       

It is noteworthy that Skaff and his son were beaten by two young men under 18 who were later arrested.        

“The incident has no political or sectarian motives; all of the city’s residents are brothers and sisters,” Bakouni said, calling on the media not to give the incident more than it deserves.

He thanked security forces for their efforts and mainly for the arrest of the assailants.
