Depardieu criticizes Russian opposition, praises Putin’s position

The French actor Gerard Depardieu, who is now holding a Russian passport, criticized the Russian opposition and defended the Kremlin’s position regarding the imprisoned young women who belong to the “Pussy Riots” group.

In an interview aired on an eastern Russian television, Depardieu noted that the Russian opposition does not have a plan.

On the other hand, he praised the Russian culture, pointing that, thanks to President Putin, the cartoons are back to the Russian television, and the Rostropovich collection was brought back to Russia
