REPORT: 'Chayef Halak' organizes anti-racism campaign

After the racism issue grew lately against the foreign workers in Lebanon, a restaurant decided to change the situation and only receive foreigners.

In this context, within a campaign organized by “Chayef Halak” in cooperation with LBCI, the Lebanese people were prevented from entering a restaurant which only allowed the entry of foreign workers. The situation used to be the other way around, as the foreign workers faced racism where they were banned from accessing restaurants and resorts in Lebanon.

The marketing manager at Impact BBDO, who cooperated with LBCI and the restaurant’s owner Jean-Marie Riyachi, stressed that the racism spread largely within the Lebanese community, leading them to organize this anti-racism campaign for one night under the slogan: “What we cannot accept on ourselves, we cannot apply on others.”
