Mali interim president promises victory

Mali's interim President Dioncounda Traoré promised on Sunday to "win the war against international Islamism", and to restore control over the north of his country occupied by the Mujahideen, he said in a speech delivered on the eve of the anniversary of the Malian Army.               

At least 5800African troops are expected to arrive to Bamako during the few coming weeks to replace the French troops.
