Medvedev after meeting Sleiman: Russia will help the Lebanese enhance their state

Russian Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev announced on Tuesday that Russia will help the Lebanese people "unify their ranks and enhance their state".

During his meeting with Sleiman who is currently on a visit to Moscow to congratulate him for the “Orthodox Peoples’ Unity” award, Medvedev stressed that “Russia is determined on further developing its ties with Lebanon.”

For his part, the Lebanese president stressed the Lebanese authority’s keenness to uphold relations with Russia.

Sleiman is due to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin tomorrow.
