REPORT: Israel tests agility for possible attacks from Lebanon

Despite the cautious calm prevailing on the northern border, Israel is still anticipating a possible military attack in the wake of its raid on the Syrian territory.        

At a time when Israeli official authorities are blurring the details of the attack, officials revealed Israel’s full cooperation with the U.S. in regards to the Syrian issue, through the surprise visit of the Military Intelligence Chief Aviv Kochavi to Washington.     

Israel announced that it is getting ready for a possible response from Hezbollah, “which might lead to a war.” According to Israel, this war would deal a harsh blow to Hezbollah, preventing it from participating in the war alongside Iran.       

Israeli predictions raised a state of fear and panic in the north, and with the Iranian-Syrian warning about the dimensions of possible shelling on Tel Aviv, Israelis flocked to the headquarters of the internal front to get protective masks. Meanwhile, the mayors of Haifa and the north held meetings to assess the situation and check Israel’s readiness.        

As usual, Israel kept this operation under wraps and left it to the media to launch speculations. However, Israeli TVs aired the details of this operation from the minute the 4 jets left Israel, overflew Lebanese territories up until they returned safely to their bases.       

In this regard, some parties warned of the dimensions of a possible escalation due to continuous shelling by Israel.      

Meanwhile, the internal front mentioned a possible deterioration in the security situation, conducting drills to test its readiness in case a rocket was launched from Lebanon.                         
However, many parties predicted that this operation will pass just like many others, without a response.
