Army supporters cut-off the Sarba highway towards Jounieh in support of the LAF, and to protest the death of Major Pierre Bachaalany and Sergeant Ibrahim Zahraman. It was later announced that the road was reopened with traffic resuming normal movement. Supporters also cut-off the Tabarja highway in support of the LAF.
Residents also blocked the Forzol road in protests of the attacks against the Lebanese Armed Forces in Arsal on Friday. In this context, the Army command expressed gratitude to citizens and called for their withdrawal from roads and an immediate stop to protest.
