REPORT: Long lines seen at the Masnaa border crossing

Traffic density at the Masnaa border crossing has increased dramatically mainly from Syria to Lebanon since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. Due to the short staff at the General Security Center, employees are forced to work 17 hours a day to cope with the large numbers of displaced flocking from Syria to Lebanon.

To organize the traffic movement, passengers are taking personal initiative to stand in long lines, waiting patiently for their transactions to be completed.

Despite the fact that the General Security center was given instructions to facilitate the affairs of passers, the shortage of human resources remains an obstacle hindering the transit processes.
