Arslan: We support Berri’s consensual proposals

Lebanese Democratic Party leader Talal Arslan voiced Saturday his support for House Speaker Nabih Berri’s consensual proposals.

“Berri protects the Lebanese people’s unity despite all the differences standing between them,” he said.

Following his meeting with Berri in Ain el-Tineh, Arslan described him as “a great national guarantor”, calling on all parties to gather around him in order to overcome the upcoming “delicate” challenges with the least possible losses.

Arslan stressed that Berri was ready to reach consensus and converge the points of view of all Lebanese factions in a bid to agree on a new electoral law.
