President of the School Teachers Union Nehme Mahfoud hoped on Wednesday that the ministerial committee's meeting will be followed by a ministerial session on Thursday in order to settle the series' issue and avoid “taking it to the streets”.             

Mahfoud told LBCI that he calls on all teachers in private schools to abide by Thursday's strike.        

In this context, Mahfoud called on President Michel Sleiman to preside a cabinet session within 48 hours to settle the series' file.
