Public Prosecution appeals decision to abstain from Assir's trial

The Public Prosecution appealed on Wednesday before the criminal court of cassation headed by Judge Joseph Samaha, the decision issued by the Military investigating judge Nabil Wehbe.

Judge Wehbe had issued a decision preventing the trial of Sheikh Ahmad Assir and his son Omar on charges of attacking, maltreating and preventing members of the Internal Security Forces from performing their duties.
