Ali denies Syrian intention to target Lebanese lands

The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdel Karim Ali denied on Thursday any intention on the part of Syria to target the Lebanese borders, noting that gunmen holding the Lebanese and Palestinian nationalities are fighting in Syria.               

Following his meeting with the head of Change and Reform bloc MP Michel Aoun in Rabieh, Ali said that the Syrian nationals who escape to Lebanon and use its lands to implement aggression are violating the sovereignty of both countries, Syria and Lebanon.             

“Our land and borders are the ones being violated,” he stressed.
