Berri meets with Islamic Group delegation

Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri met on Monday with a delegation from the Islamic Group, whereby he reiterated his call for the implementation of the dissociation policy.

The delegation also stressed that each political party commit to this policy, in full, in order to prevent a spillover of the Syrian crisis into Lebanon.

The meeting comes in light of growing escalation on the Lebanese-Syrian border and continuous violations of the country's territorial sovereignty.

Berri also met with caretaker Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi and discussed with him the general situation and the country's latest developments.
