Sleiman meets with Gemayel, tackles general political situation

President Michel Sleiman met on Monday with the leader of the Kataeb party Amin Gemayel at the Baabda Presidential Palace, where they discussed the political situation in Lebanon, mainly the law pertaining to the extension of Parliament's mandate and the constitutional measures taken in this regard.

On the other hand, Sleiman met with caretaker Interior and Municipalities Minister Marwan Charbel who briefed him on the general security situation in Tripoli and the preparations related to the electoral process.
