Al-Abboudieh – Akkar road reopened after being blocked in protest against Syrian attacks

The al-Abboudieh - Akkar international road was reopened on Saturday after being blocked by the town's farmers and residents in protest against their incapability of entering their agricultural lands located near the border due to the Syrian attacks.

Lebanon has been reeling from the spillover of the two-year Syrian conflict while Hezbollah's involvement in the Syrian raging battles may cause further backlash from Syrian rebels who threatened to attack the party's bases in Lebanon if it does not withdraw from Syria.
