Syrian embassy in Lebanon says 43 Syrians killed in Beirut explosion
The Syrian embassy issued on Saturday a statement in which it said that 43 Syrian nationals so far were killed in the huge explosive that rocked the port of Beirut.
"In continuation of the efforts deployed by the Embassy of Syria in Beirut to follow up on the conditions of the Syrian citizens affected by the horrific explosion that struck the port of Beirut last Tuesday, the number of Syrian martyrs known to us has reached so far 43 martyrs who died due to the explosion, in an infinite toll. The embassy provides all facilities to transport the bodies of some of them to Syria, and to help bury others in Lebanon."
The embassy also added that it will continue to deploy all necessary efforts in coordination with the concerned authorities in Lebanon to search for the missing, stressing  that this issue “receives direct attention from the Syrian leadership, which has given directives to the embassy to provide all forms of assistance."
