BDL opens $62 mln credit, EDL electricity supply will increase to four hours

Banque du Liban informed the Ministries of Finance and Energy of its agreement to open credit of $62 million as a treasury advance to cover the price of two shipments of gas oil that EDL will use in the Zahrani and Deir Ammar plants.

 

On Tuesday, it is expected that a load of 33,000 tons will be unloaded in the Zahrani plant tanks, followed a few days later by unloading a load of 33,000 tons in the tanks of the Deir Ammar plant. It is expected that the power supply will rise to four hours.
