Netanyahu calls for efforts to eliminate Hamas 'without excuses'

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that any move to form an alternative to the Hamas to govern Gaza requires the elimination of the movement first, and he called for efforts to achieve this goal "without excuses."

Netanyahu made these remarks in a video statement posted online following public opposition from Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who accused the government of avoiding serious discussion of a proposal to form a Palestinian administration without Hamas after the war.
