Salameh denies suspension of circular no. 161

Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh issued on Tuesday a statement denying all the news circulated by news and social media outlets about a decision by the Central Bank to suspend circular no. 161 soon.

The statement confirmed that circular no. 161 would continue to be active for an unspecified time on the Sayrafa platform, as usual and with no modification.
