Siniora holds contacts with Berri and Mikati, condemns latest attack in Bekaa

Head of the Future Bloc Fouad Siniora condemned on Monday the incident that targeted four citizens in the Bekaa region yesterday, the state-run National News Agency reported.

In this context, Siniora held contacts with Speaker Nabih Berri, Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Arsal's Mayor Ali Mohammad Hjairi as well as high-ranking political figures whereby they discussed the latest developments in the Bekaa.

Siniora also pointed out that the "crime" had clear motives, noting that such security incidents are resulting from "Hezbollah's fighting in Syria alongside the Assad regime".

"The assailants are undoubtedly working to drag Lebanon and the Bekaa region into sedition," Siniora added.
