First day of Lebanese official exams ends

The state-run National News Agency reported on Saturday that first day of Lebanese official exams ended in a calm atmosphere in different Lebanese regions.

Brevet students made it to their first day of exams after several weeks of clashes and sporadic violence, in Tripoli, Sidon and the bordering regions with Syria, and after several strikes carried out by the Union Coordination Committee (UCC).

Calm prevailed over the exams stations in all Lebanese regions without any recorded incident.

Lebanese Brevet exams will end on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.
