EDL teams detect electrical networks in Sidon

Technical teams at Electricite Du Liban along with Lebanese Armed Forces’ units commenced on Tuesday inspection operations for the electrical network in Sidon’s Abra region following the latest clashes between LAF soldiers and supporters of the Imam of the Bilal bin Rabah mosque Sheikh Ahmad Assir.

In this regard, the technical units mentioned that not only had the Zahrani-Aramoun grid been affected, but also the 66kV transmission lines that supply electricity to Sidon and its neighboring regions.

In the meantime, technical teams are working on ensuring power supply to Sidon and its neighboring regions, including some areas in Mount Lebanon and the administrative regions in Beirut, from the Joun-Sidon grid, which will allow an adequate supply of power to the aforementioned region by approximately 4 pm.
