MP Zahra: Mikati’s stance reflects inaccuracy on the part of Speaker Berri

Lebanese Forces MP Antoine Zahra expressed on Monday his regret over House Speaker Nabih Berri's call for discussing the "same agenda during the upcoming General Authority session."

Zahra told LBCI during Nharkom Said that Speaker Berri explained during the Parliament’s Bureau meeting that he agreed with President Michel Sleiman and Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati that there is no need to hold exceptional sessions on the basis of a decree; however, Mikati’s stance reflected inaccuracy on that of Berri.

“We attended a meeting to agree on means of reactivating the work of the parliament, but Speaker Berri discussed during the session the 45-item agenda of the General Authority session. We do not agree to this nor do we reject it,” Zahra concluded.
