President Sleiman holds several meetings at the Baabda Presidential Palace

    
President Michel Sleiman held a meeting on Thursday at the Baabda Presidential Palace with Caretaker Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi, with talks featuring high on the security and political developments in the country, the state-run National News Agency reported.     

Separately, Sleiman held a meeting with Caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour whereby he tackled Lebanon's foreign relations in light of local and regional developments.       

President Sleiman also met with a joint delegation of the Beirut Bar Association and the syndicate of the French city of Caen, in preparation for launching the award of former French Ambassador to Lebanon Louis de Lamar who was assassinated during the Zahle incidents in 1981.        

It is worth noting that Lebanon's ambassador to the Vatican, George Khoury, also visited President Sleiman and briefed him on the current relations between Lebanon and the Holy See.
