Salam: I personally attended UN General Assembly

Lebanon’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Nawaf Salam confirmed that he personally attended the UN General Assembly dedicated put to a vote the draft law put forth by Saudi Arabia to decry the assassination attempt of Saudi Ambassador to Washington.

Salam issued this statement to deny media reports that Lebanon was absent from the UN session.

The statement added that on behalf of Lebanon and in line with the general Arab position taken at the Arab League, Salam voted for the draft law put forth by Saudi Arabia.
