Sleiman meets with Charbel, tackles security situation
             
Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met on Monday with caretaker Interior and Municipalities Minister Marwan Charbel at the Baabda Presidential Palace and discussed the current security situation and the measures taken in order to preserve stability in the country.            

Later, Sleiman received MP Amin Wehbe and tackled the current situation and latest developments in the Bekaa region amid the rise in influx of Syrian refugees to the country. 

Separately, Sleiman met with a delegation that included expatriates from Australia, Canada and the US, in the presence of the Australian ambassador to Lebanon Lex Bartlem who stressed his country’s support to efforts deployed by President Sleiman to preserve stability and and abide by the dissociation policy in accordance with the Baabda Declaration.
