Sleiman meets with French, US officials; discusses bilateral ties

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman met on Wednesday at the Baabda Presidential Palace with Former French Prime Minister Alain Jupee and discussed with him bilateral relations as well as the latest developments both in Lebanon and the region.       

President Sleiman also met with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy, Amos J Hochstein with talks also featuring high on bilateral relations.                    

In this regard, Diplomat Hochstein voiced his country’s support to Lebanon, adding that the US is ready to provide Lebanon with the necessary experience that it has in the field of gas and oil exploration.         

Also at the Baabda Palace, Sleiman received a delegation from the Maronite Foundation along with a delegation from the Lebanese youth groups headed by Former Minister Michel Edde who briefed President Sleiman on the work of the foundation as well as its communication with Lebanese expatriates.
