Kahwaji says LAF will not bow to difficulties

Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Jean Kahwaji held a meeting on Thursday at the Baabda Palace with President Michel Sleiman whereby he said that the army will do its utmost in a bid to shield Lebanon from potential hazards, the state-run National News Agency reported.

LAF Commander Kahwaji also stressed that the military institution is raising its state of alert and works on bolstering its capabilities in anticipation of any attack, noting that the LAF will not bow to difficulties.

In this regard, Kahwaji praised the sacrifices made by Sleiman for the sake of the Lebanese army, and lauded the President's well-devised stances in regards to several outstanding issues.
