MP Siniora lauds President Sleiman's speech, condemns attack on Yarze

        
The head of the Future bloc MP Fouad Siniora praised on Friday the speech delivered yesterday by President Michel Sleiman on the 68th anniversary of the Army Day, noting that Sleiman is adamant on Lebanon's sovereignty and independence.     

MP Siniora congratulated Sleiman for his "national and historical stances," pointing out that the President "honestly" defends the Lebanese state by holding to the constitution, rejecting illegitimate arms and standing against the involvement of Lebanese parties in the Syrian crisis, he said in reference to Hezbollah.                 

In this context, MP Siniora added that Sleiman is committed to the Baabda Declaration as well as to the dissociation policy and refuses to compromise Lebanon's national security.          

Separately, MP Siniora denounced the attack that targeted on Thursday night the region of Yarze, stressing that it will not affect the Lebanese people.
