Qabbani calls for releasing all abductees to prevent negative repercussions

The Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani called on Monday for the release of all abductees, whether they be the Turkish pilots or the Lebanese hostages in Aazaz, noting that kidnapping a person is considered a condemned act and a human rights violation, regardless of the identity of the kidnappers or the reason behind the abduction.

He added that abducting non-Lebanese surpasses Lebanon’s internal affairs and affects its relations with other countries. In this context, Qabbani called on the Lebanese state to deploy every possible effort as soon as possible to reach a settlement and release all kidnapped people, in order to prevent foreign repercussions that pose a threat to Lebanon.
