Berri: solution lies in dialogue, not in cabinet resignation

House Speaker Nabih Berri said that the solution does not lie in the cabinet’s resignation, but in understanding and dialogue between the Lebanese.

At the opening of the first Public National Conference for Municipalities, Berri said that the past experiences have proved that no one has the right to veto national decisions, adding that understandings should be the result of a dialogue table held under the hospices of the President to reach unanimity.

Berri stressed the necessity to prompt the implementation of the administrative decentralization law, for “it is the main entrance towards re-building the citizens’ trust in the state”.

“Many incidents in Syria aim at diverting the attention from the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq”, he said.
