Sheikh Rhim to LBCI: We do not accuse Hezbollah of being behind Tripoli attacks

Member of the Muslim Scholars Committee Sheikh Nabil Rhim stressed on Monday that there are many clues suggesting that the Syrian regime stands behind the explosions that targeted Tripoli last week, noting that the Syrian regime is attempting to create strife in Lebanon.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Sheikh Rhim stressed that he does not accuse Hezbollah of the being responsible for the attacks, calling on the Shiite party to play a positive role in preserving stability in Lebanon through withdrawing from Syria.

On another note, the sheikh said that there is a media campaign aiming at harming the reputation of the Salafist and Islamic movements, adding that some people affiliated with these movements are launching convulsive stances that are distorting the image of the Islamic groups.
