Dead cow sold as fresh meat in north Lebanon

The Municipality of Baddawi, with the support of members of the Internal Security Forces, raided on Thursday a butcher shop belonging to Palestinian national identified as A. A. in the mountainous region of North Lebanon’s al-Baddawi, as he was slaughtering a cow, already deceased, inside his shop.

The experts examined the animal, which was determined as unsuitable for human consumption.

In this context, Baddawi’s mayor Hassan Ghemrawi stressed that such raids have been carried out several times before, noting that all the meat products in the butcher shop’s refrigerators were destroyed.
