Kataeb party praises Dahieh security plan, tackles NY conference

     
The political bureau of the Kataeb party praised on Monday the security plan being implemented in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs as “an encouraging step” that aims at ending the self-imposed security.            

Following its regular meeting under the chairmanship of Kataeb party leader Amin Gemayel, the party said the World Bank’s recent report highlights the need to provide Lebanon with “an international coordinated support” in order to address the Syrian crisis’ repercussions.          

The Kataeb party also commented on the international conference that is set to be held this week in New York to help Lebanon cope with the rising influx of Syrian refugees, calling for a "responsible national stance to contribute to the success of the meeting”.        

Addressing the Lebanese delegation that will take part in the conference, the Kataeb party suggested a series of “beneficial measures” at the humanitarian, social and security levels.
