Maronite Bishops call for speeding up cabinet formation process, praise stances of President Sleiman

The Maronite Bishops Council welcomed on Wednesday international effort being exerted to distance Lebanon from the Syrian crisis, expressing hope that officials reach a political solution for the ongoing conflict in Damascus.

Following the monthly meeting of bishops held at Bkerke, the council praised the stances of Lebanese President Michel Sleiman, hailing Arab and international aid pledges that will help Lebanon in dealing with the continuous rising influx of Syrian refugees.

On another note, the council called for speeding up the formation of a cabinet that serves all Lebanese factions and works for the benefit of the entire country.
