Shells from Syrian side hit two towns in Akkar

Shells fired from the Syrian side landed on Wednesday in the Wadi Khaled towns of Mashta Hamoud and al-Khalsa.

Sources also reported that the house of Majed Soueid sustained damages due to the shelling that targeted Mashta Hamoud.

Shelling from the Syrian side has also damaged other Lebanese border towns which have bore the brunt of the cross-border attacks.

This comes as a result of the fighting taking place in Syria between Syrian government troops and rebels seeking to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.
