REPORT: Newly released pilgrims transported to the al-Sahel hospital

Speaker Nabih Berri and caretaker Minister of Health gave on Monday their directives to transfer the nine newly released Lebanese hostages to the al-Sahel hospital to carry out the necessary tests to check on their health after having been held captive for one year and 5 months in Syria's Aazaz.

Head of the al-Sahel hospital Fadi Alameh said that such tests "are necessary" before giving the nine pilgrims the needed medical treatment.

The nine Lebanese pilgrims were kidnapped on their way back from Iran by insurgents hoping to use them for a prisoner swap on the 22nd of May.

They all returned home on Saturday night.
