Hezbollah slams attack on UNIFIL

Hezbollah sternly condemned Friday the attack on a peacekeeping contingent in the South, saying it [the attack] targeted the security and stability of Lebanon in general and the South in particular.

A bomb went off early this morning near a UNIFIL patrol in Naba'a area located between Housh and Burj al Shamali towns east of Tyre, causing light injuries to four peacekeeping soldiers and a Lebanese civilian.

The blast is believed to be targeting the French contingent operating within the UNIFIL command. The party called, in a statement, the Lebanese security apparatuses to endeavor so as to curb such aggressions.
