Liban Lait employees block highway in protest of Zeidan’s abduction
The employers and workers at Liban Lait, the country’s largest dairy farm, held a 30-minute strike on the international highway, outside the police station, in Hawch Snayd, Baalbek, in protest of the abduction of the company’s CEO Ahmad Zeidan last Wednesday. Ahmad Zeidan was kidnapped in Bekaa’s Talia Valley Wednesday by four masked gunmen, 50 meters away from the company’s entrance.

The protesters raised banners condemning Zeidan’s abduction and calling for his release. They called on all concerned authorities to spare no effort to locate and free the abducted as soon as possible.

The protesters blocked the international highway for 30 minutes, calling on the political authorities and President Michel Sleiman to accelerate Zeidan’s release, especially because he suffers from diabetes and has problems with his blood pressure, for which he requires daily medication.
