MP Michel Aoun: The situation in Tripoli has yet to see an improvement

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun said on Tuesday that the situation in the northern city of Tripoli did not improve and that there was no decision taken in this sense as terrorists remain active, referring to the assassination of Sheikh Saadeddine Ghiyyeh.

In his speech following the bloc's meeting, MP Aoun held those objecting the extraction of oil responsible for trying to subject Lebanon to bankruptcy.

In this context, MP Aoun also called on President Michel Sleiman and the caretaker government to bear its responsibilities as well as to hold a cabinet meeting in order to move forward with the oil issue.
